Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums are in the cast and creative team of the musical Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Roger Miller and William Hauptman’s stage version of Mark Twain’s classic novel. The show runs April 21 through June 11 at the Mercury Theatre Chicago, located at 3745 N. Southport in Chicago. For tickets, click here.
The show’s cast includes Columbia College alums Callan Roberts ’22 as Huckleberry Finn’s friend Tom Sawyer and David Stobbe ’16 as Huck’s father, Pap Finn, as well as a con man known as the “King.” Both Roberts and Stobbe are graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre.
The show’s production team includes Columbia College alum Ariel Etana Triunfo ’19, also a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre. The show’s scenic designers are Columbia College Theatre Department associate chair Jacqueline Penrod and her husband, former Theatre Department faculty member Richard Penrod.
