Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alums Bring ‘Pump Boys and Dinettes’ to Porchlight Music Theatre Oct. 30-Dec. 12

Alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department are in the cast and production team of Porchlight Music Theatre‘s production of Pump Boys and Dinettes, running October 30 through December 12 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn, Chicago. This homespun musical revue is an affectionate portrait of the friendly, fun-lovin’ folks who run a roadside diner and gas station in North Carolina.

Shantel Cribbs ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, plays Prudie Cupp, one of the coffee-serving Cupp sisters who run the rest stop. Columbia College alum Caitlin Dobbins ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, is Cribbs’ standby, and Columbia College alum Kelan M. Smith ’20, also a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, is the standby for two of the male leads.

Columbia College alum Alex Rhyan ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre with a concentration in Stage Management, is Porchlight’s production and operations director. Columbia College alum Jennifer Aparicio ’07, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Technology program, is the show’s production manager and swing stage manager, and Columbia College alum Andrea Enger ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre, is assistant stage manager and wardrobe supervisor. And the show’s musical director, Robert Reddrick, is a former Columbia College Chicago Music Department student.
