Five writers, five directors, and 15 performers will have 24 hours to write, rehearse, and perform five short plays for a one-time-only virtual event under the leadership of Silent Theatre’s artistic director, Columbia College alum Tonika Todorova ’02, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre. Participants in the event include Columbia College alums Robyn Coffin ’02 and Matthew Massaro ’04, both graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, and Phillip Lewis ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre BA program, as well former Theatre Department student Marcus Fittanto.

“In a time of transformation, the arts have to pioneer more than ever. Human connection and creative collaboration still live in the hearts of artists all over the world,” says a Silent Theatre press release announcing the event. “We are gathering powerful voices in the community to collaborate on creating five short virtual media plays to tell the stories of this moment.”
