The Silent Theatre Company, an ensemble founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, remounts its 2019 site-specific, immersive play, Incomplete Conversations, March 5 through April 4 at Tapestry Fellowship Church, 3824 W. Irving Park, Chicago. The production takes place in every room of the church to explore the emotional shockwaves of an unexpected death within a family and a church community. It wrestles with questions of when we ought to speak up, when we ought to keep quiet, and how to love people with whom we disagree. To accomplish this exploration, the audience is invited to enter and immerse themselves in multi-dimensional action that will fill up all the spaces in this real church where a family prepares to bury a young pastor, say their goodbyes, and maybe find out who killed him.
The ensemble cast includes Columbia College alumni Brendan Balfe ’05 (BA Theatre), Paul Brennan ’17 (BA Cinema Art + Science), Robyn Coffin ’02 (BA Acting), Lauren Fisher ’05 (BA Acting), Gillian Hastings ’05 (BA Acting), Victor Holstein ’04 (BA Acting), Zoe Sapienza ’16 (BA Acting), June Thiele ’09 (BA Acting), and Dina Marie Walters ’01 (BA Acting).
