Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty and alumni are bringing the Duke Ellington revue Sophisticated Ladies to the Porchlight Music Theatre stage January 24 through March 6. Jermaine Hill, a teacher in the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre Program, is the musical director for this jukebox revue of music by jazz composer Duke Ellington. The show’s cast includes Columbia College alums Shantel Cribbs ’17 and Darren Patin ’17, both graduates of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, and De’Jah Jervai ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre. Performances take place at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, located at 1016 N. Dearborn in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Student discounts are available. For tickets, click here.
