Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus A.C. Smith ’86, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre, is featured in a new production of August Wilson’s drama King Hedley II, running September 12 through October 13 at Court Theatre, located at 5535 S. Ellis in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The 1999 play, set in 1985 Pittsburgh, concerns an ex-con trying to rebuild his life.
Smith has appeared in many Wilson dramas at theatre around the U.S., including Court, where he starred in Wilson’s Fences, winning the prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award for his performance. For tickets, click here.
