Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums Courtney Mack ’15 and Mallory Maedke ’14, both graduates of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, will head to Cambridge, Massachusetts, for the American Repertory Theatre‘s upcoming production of Six, the British rock musical about the six wives of medieval England’s King Henry VIII. Mack — winner of a 2016 Joseph Jefferson Award, Chicago’s top theatrical award, for her lead performance in the Chicago premiere of Heathers: The Musical — plays Henry’s fifth wife, Katherine Howard, a role she took over during the show’s North American premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, which runs through August 4. Maedke is the alternate performer for three lead roles in the musical: Howard, Henry’s second wife Anne Boleyn, and Henry’s third wife Jane Seymour. Six plays August 21 through September 27 at American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University in the Boston suburb of Cambridge, Massachusetts. For tickets, click here.
