Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department Alumnus Appears in A Red Orchid Theatre’s World Premiere ‘Traitor’ Jan. 7-Feb. 25

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Stephen Walker ’95, a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre, is featured in the world premiere of Traitor, Chicago playwright Brett Neveu’s new reworking of Henrik Ibsen’s classic drama An Enemy of the People. Directed by Oscar-nominated actor Michael Shannon, the play runs January 7-February 25 at A Red Orchid Theatre, located at 1531 N. Wells in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

Also in the cast is Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Kirsten Fitzgerald, who is also A Red Orchid Theatre’s artistic director.  The play is set in a North Chicago suburb that has just opened a charter school. After issues with the school grounds are discovered, a quest to inform and correct is initially met with support — until suspicion and rancor mount as truths bubble to the surface.
