Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alums Dramatize Battle for Women’s Suffrage in ‘The Good Fight’ Jan. 6-Feb. 17

Alison Dornheggen

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumna Alison Dornheggen ’01, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in The Good Fight, presented by the Babes With Blades Theatre Company January 6-February 17. Based on historical events, the play concerns the Women’s Social and Political Union, the primary militant group pushing for women’s suffrage in Great Britain in the early 20th century — in particular focusing on the WSPU’s secret, all-female security team of martial artists, known as “The Bodyguard.” Dornheggen plays WSPU leader Christabel Pankhurst. Performances take place at City Lit Theatre, located in the Edgewater Presbyterian Church, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr, in Chicago’s Edgewater Theatre District. For tickets, click here.
