The Robert Frosty Theatre Company, a sketch comedy group founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, presents the third annual edition of its comedy/sketch/stage combat holiday show ‘Twas the Fight Before Christmas through December 21.
Written by Columbia College alumnus Luke Van Marter ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, the show plays Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 PM at the Public House Theatre, 3914 N. Clark, Chicago. The cast includes Van Marter and fellow Columbia College alums Almanya Narula ’16, Jelani West ’12, Jessica Paramo ’14, and John Tervanis ’14 — all graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting — as well as student Tori Johns.
Columbia College alumnus Robert A. Parise ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting BA program, is the costume designer, and Columbia alums Van Marter and Scott Myers ’14 are the production’s fight directors. Myers — a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Comedy Writing and Performance with a Stage Combat Minor — co-founded the Robert Frosty Theatre Company with Van Marter in 2014.
