Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alumni Talent Featured in New Musical ‘Scrooge and the Ghostly Spirits’ Nov. 15-Dec. 23

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are in the cast and production team for the world premiere of Scrooge and the Ghostly Spirits, a new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel A Christmas Carol. The show runs November 15-December 23 at the Citadel Theatre in the northern Chicago suburb of Lake Forest.

The cast includes Columbia College alums Coco Kasperowicz ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Maddie Sachs ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance. Alum Ann Delaney ’14, a Musical Theatre Performance BFA graduate, is the show’s choreographer. And former Musical Theatre Performance student Benjamin Nichols is the show’s musical director.

The lead role of Scrooge is played by former Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member Frank Farrell. The show’s book, music, and lyrics are written by veteran Chicago composer-playwright Douglas Post.
