BrittneyLove Smith

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum BrittneyLove Smith ’11, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting Program, stars in Eclipse Theatre‘s production of Breath, Boom, by Kia Cothron. The drama runs November 9-December 17 at the Athenaeum Theatre, located at 2936 N. Southport in Chicago’s Belmont Theatre District. Smith, an Eclipse Theatre ensemble member, plays Prix, the ruthless leader of a teenage girl gang in the Bronx, who makes booms on the street and loves booms in the sky: fireworks. Smith is also one of a select group of Chicago theatre artists chosen to receive a grant from the Chicago grant-making organization 3Arts as part of 3Arts’ new Make a Wave program, a peer-to-peer giving initiative in which awardees from the previous year choose this current year’s honorees. The grant recipients were announced on November 6, 2017.
