Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumna Hannah Starr ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in the regional theater premiere of the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit Fun Home, running September 19-November 12 at Victory Gardens Theatre, 2433 N. Lincoln, Chicago. Starr plays “Medium Alison” in this musical inspired by writer-illustrator Alison Bechdel’s bestselling graphic memoir. With music by Jeanine Tesori and libretto by Lisa Kron, the show examines Alison Bechdel’s coming of age, including her process of coming out as a lesbian.

Originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Starr studied at the Second City Conservatory as well as Columbia College.
