Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alumni Present ‘Fight Quest’ Fantasy Game-Playing Show May 26-June 9

Otherworld Theatre Company, an ensemble founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, is presents a new interactive production Fight Quest 3: The Lair of Lost Heroes, running May 26-June 9 at Strawdog Theatre, 1802 W. Berenice, Chicago. Shows are Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30 PM.

As with previous editions of its Fight Quest series, this show invites audience members to choose their own adventure in a fantasy combat event.

The cast includes Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums Kai Young ’12 and Kim Fukawa ’07, graduates of Columbia’s Acting BA program, and Grace Gimpel ’12, a graduate of Columbia’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, as well as former Columbia student Bennett Decker BotteroThe show is written by Bottero and produced by Bottero, Gimpel, and Young. Tickets are “pay-what-you-can.” For tickets, click here.

Fight Quest 3: The Lair of Lost Heroes runs in repertory with Otherworld’s prime-time production The Rogue Aviator, which presents an alternate history of the 1930s in which a floating city has been built among the clouds of America.  The Rogue Aviator is directed by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Tiffany Keane Schaefer ’12, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Directing Program. She founded Otherworld Theatre in 2012 to specialize in theatre dedicated to science fiction and fantasy storytelling. Columbia College alumnus Dylan Schaefer ’12, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is in the cast, and the production’s fight choreographer is Kai Young.
