Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Paige Daigle ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, was interviewed by the Daily Herald newspaper in Chicago’s northern suburbs to discuss her role in Underscore Theatre Company‘s world premiere of My Name Is Annie King, described as a “ world premiere bluegrass musical thriller.”
Daigle plays the daughter of a charismatic cult leader in rural Missouri in this tale of dark sexuality fueled by hallucinogenic rituals.
The show is “full of anxiety and thrill,” Daigle told the Daily Herald. “There’s a very intense storyline.” Daigle also plays banjo onstage in the show.
My Name Is Annie King runs through May 28 at the Pride Arts Center, 4139 N. Broadway, Chicago. For tickets, click here.
