Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department Alums Present ‘Hummingbird’ Live Lit Event Feb. 20

 

The No Stakes Theater Project, a company founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, presents a new installment of Hummingbird, an inclusive, interdisciplinary live lit series that engages the audience in conversation with the socio-cultural themes in the company’s work. This event will feature interviews, stories, music, and performances inspired by the final two plays of No Sakes Theater Project‘s first Wingspan reading series, A Knee That Can Bend and Cloud Tectonics.

The performance takes place Monday, February 20, at 7:30 PM at the Edge Theater, 5451 N. Broadway, in Chicago’s Edgewater Theatre District.

Participating artists and performers include Columbia College Chicago alums Jennifer Kiehl ’15, Emilie Modaff ’14, Sarah McCarten ’15, Hannah Starr ’14, and Anna Wolfe ’15, all graduates of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, as well as Nadezh Mulholland ’14 and Keisa Reynolds ’15, both graduates of Columbia College’s Cultural Studies BA program. Also participating are students Joey Lubelfeld and Shelby Gahm.

No Stakes Theater Project was founded in 2014 by Columbia College alum Erin Shea Brady ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program. No Stakes Theater Project is dedicated to supporting the development of emerging theatre artists through staged readings, fostered collaborations, and productions of exceptional work.
