Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department Alumni and Faculty Talent Featured in ‘Fillet of Solo’ Performance Festival Jan. 13–29

The 20th annual Fillet of Solo Festival, a celebration of Chicago’s enduring storytelling and live lit scene, features the talents of Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and teachers. Featuring storytelling ensembles and solo performers, the festival runs January 13–29 at two locations in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood: Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood, and the Heartland Studio Theatre, 7016 N. Glenwood.

The Sweat Girls, an all-woman storytelling ensemble, features Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Clare Nolan. The Sweat Girls perform Saturday, January 14, 21, and 28, at 4 PM each day at Lifeline Theatre.

The Kates, an all-female comedy showcase hosted by Columbia College alum Kelsie Huff ’03, provides an intimate night of comedy dedicated to showcasing talented and hilarious female-identified performers by creating inclusive and positive environments. The Kates performs Friday, January 20 and 27, at 7 PM at Lifeline Theatre.
