Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Michael Stahl-David ’05 has landed a role on the Netflix original drug cartel drama Narcos, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV industry trade publication.
Stahl-David, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, will play Chris Feistl, a young American DEA agent who sought out assignment to Colombia as the drug trade shifts to the Cali Cartel’s takeover in the wake of Pablo Escobar’s death. Stahl-David’s addition to the series’ regular cast is part of a move to beef up Narcos’ talent roster in its third season. Filming is now underway in Colombia.
Stahl-David‘s prior TV credits include roles on The Good Wife, Numb3rs, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Black Donnellys, and the HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero. His big-screen credits include the cult science-fiction/horror film Cloverfield and the forthcoming Rob Reiner drama LBJ, in which he portrays Robert F. Kennedy opposite Woody Harrelson as President Lyndon Johnson. His stage credits include productions at Chicago’s Goodman and Steppenwolf theatres and at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre in New York.
