Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and faculty are in the cast and production team of You on the Moors Now, a new production from The Hypocrites, one of Chicago’s most innovative theatre companies. The show, a Chicago premiere, is described as a “comical mash-up of mythology and 19th century literary heroines” inspired by the novels of Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austen, and Emily and Charlotte Bronte. It runs September 9-October 30 at the Den Theatre, 1329 N. Milwaukee, in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.

The cast includes BrittneyLove Smith ’11, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting Program, who plays Jane Eyre.

Columbia College alums on the production team include assistant director Mara Stern ’11, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting Program, and fight choreographer Shannon O’Neill. In addition, Theatre Department Theatre Design Program coordinator Heather Gilbert is the show’s lighting designer.
