Singer-songwriter Jess Godwin (BA ’05), a graduate of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department‘s BA Program in Acting, has released her first full-length album, Comfortable. The album, containing nine songs written and performed by Godwin, is available on iTunes.
On Monday, July 18, Godwin will appear at Davenport’s Piano Bar & Cabaret, located at 1383 N. Milwaukee in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. For this concert of her original material, she’ll be joined by “a small choir of incredibly fierce female vocalists,” including Columbia College Theatre Department student Kaylee Lynch, a junior in the Theatre Department’s Comedy Writing and Performance BA program, and alums Bethany Thomas and Harmony France. Jess Godwin and the Choir Experiment begins at 8 PM. For tickets, call 773-278-1830 or click here.
Godwin is also appearing in the acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical Company at Writers Theatre, 325 Tudor Court in the northern Chicago suburb of Glencoe.
