Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Behzad Dabu (BFA ’08) is featured in the Goodman Theatre‘s revival of Thornton Wilder’s classic comedy The Matchmaker. The show runs March 5-April 10 at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn, in downtown Chicago.
Dabu, a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s acting program, previously appeared at the Goodman in its 2015-16 season opener, Disgraced. In The Matchmaker, he plays Barnaby Tucker, a young man seeking romantic adventure in 1880s New York.
A special “College Night” event at the Goodman on Wednesday, March 9, includes a pre-show pizza party at which college students can meet and talk with Goodman Theatre artists. Tickets for “College Night” are only $10 for college students with ID–the price includes the pizza party at 6 PM followed by a 7:30 PM performance of The Matchmaker. Students should use the promo code COLLEGE when ordering online, by phone, or in person at the Goodman box office.

Dabu is also a company member of Chicago’s TimeLine Theatre, where he appeared in the Jeff Award-winning ensemble of The History Boys.
