Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Kaiser Ahmed (BA ’08), a graduate of Columbia College’s theatre directing program, is featured in the Chicago premiere of the Off-Broadway drama The Awake, presented by the First Floor Theater at Collaboraction’s Room 300 Theater in the Flat Iron Arts Building, located at 1579 N. Milwaukee in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Ahmed plays a man on the run from a faceless interrogator in this dreamlike theatrical exploration of the unspoken culture of fear that is the new normal of American life.
