Columbia College Chicago faculty and alumni are involved in Strawdog Theatre‘s new production The Pied Piper, a world premiere based on the classic poem by Robert Browning. The show, which boasts an innovative, physical aesthetic, is directed by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member Josh Sobel, Strawdog’s literary manager. Claire Chrzan, a 2011 graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre Design, designed the lights. Strawdog’s artistic director is Hank Boland, a teacher in Columbia College’s Cinema Art + Science department, and Strawdog’s managing director is Mike Mroch, a 2011 graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Theatre Directing.
