Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member and Joseph Jefferson Award-winning director Jonathan Berry will stage American Blues Theatre‘s upcoming production of Side Man, Warren Leight’s Tony Award-winning drama about the splintered marriage of a jazz trumpeter and his alcoholic wife. Theatre Department faculty member and interim associate chair Heather Gilbert will design the lights for the show, which co-stars Jeff Award-winning actress Kate Buddeke, a former Theatre Department faculty member. Side Man runs April 24-May 24 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, whose executive director is Columbia Theatre alumnus and faculty member Jason Epperson.
