Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member Kimberly Senior‘s new staging of The Diary of Anne Frank for Writers Theatre in Glencoe has received glowing reviews. Chicago Tribune critic Chris Jones praised Senior for delivering a “truthful, deeply engaged production” of the drama. And Chicagoland Theater Reviews’ Dan Zeff wrote: “The ensemble work is seamlessly credible and realistic. The director subtly keeps the narrative moving throughout the confined setting, so in spite of the absence of physical action there is never a dead spot. . . . The staging has obviously been meticulously directed but Kimberly Senior’s guidance is invisible to the audience’s eye, the best kind of directing.” The show runs through July 5 at 664 Vernon, Glencoe.
