Chicago Hit ‘Churchill,’ Designed by Columbia Teacher/Alumnus Jason Epperson, Opens Off-Broadway Tonight

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member/alumnus Jason Epperson is in New York today for the Off-Broadway debut of Churchill, a new one-man play adapted and performed by Chicago actor Ronald Keaton. The show is co-produced by Chicago’s Greenhouse Theater Center, where Epperson is Executive Director. Jason also designed the sets and lights for the production here and in New York. A hit at the Greenhouse last year, Churchill began previews February 6 at New World Stages, 340 W. 50th Street, New York. Official opening is February 18, with performances currently scheduled through May 31. Directed by Kurt Johns, the show is a joint production of the Greenhouse Theater Center, SoloChicago, and the Wendy and William Spatz Charitable Foundation, with the support and permission of The Churchill Centre.
