We Are Moving the Needle Scholarships

We Are Moving The Needle scholarships provide direct educational support to students enrolled at eligible institutions. Covered expenses include tuition and fees, as well as course-related costs such as required books, supplies, and equipment as determined by the student’s department, program, or faculty.
Funding Amount: Scholarships are one-time awards of $5,000 or $10,000, depending on the specific fund.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age on or before June 30, 2026.
All application materials must be submitted in English.
Applicants must be in alignment with We Are Moving The Needle’s mission to empower women, trans, and non-binary creators in the music industry.
Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to working behind the board: including music production, audio engineering, or songwriting.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in, or recently accepted to, an audio engineering, sound technology, music production or related program with a demonstrated commitment to developing your technical skills in music at an accredited educational institution for the 2026/2027 school year.
Applicants must be pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or Graduate degree.
Incoming first-year students and returning students are eligible. Scholarships are not retroactive and students graduating in Spring 2026 are not eligible.
In compliance with industry standards, We Are Moving The Needle expects that written materials and work samples have meaningful contributions from the applicant. Any usage of generative artificial intelligence in work samples must be disclosed in your application.
