Each applicant will be required to submit a short essay of 700-1000 words outlining their reasons for deciding to pursue a career in law. Please explain the main reason or reasons why you decided to become a lawyer, why you chose this area of law, and how you see yourself having an impact in this field. The winning submission will be chosen based on which best conveys the reasons as to why you chose this particular path in life.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be a resident of South Carolina
- Must be currently attending College or University in the United States or must be a high school senior in South Carolina who will be pursuing a career in law.
- Must complete the Google form, including the essay response of 700–1000 words outlining their reasons for deciding to pursue a career in law. Please explain the main reason or reasons why you decided to become a lawyer and how you see yourself having an impact in this field
- Deadline to apply is May 31st, 2026
