Blessons Scholarships for Women provides free mentorship and educational assistance, including scholarships, to disadvantaged, low-income women who are 25 years or older and who have had their higher education interrupted due to challenging life lessons including; cancer, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, or who are first generation immigrants.
Blessons Scholarship Awards are unique where G.P.A. is not a deciding factor and may often function as the only source of support for women who have had their higher education interrupted due to challenging life lessons and where no other granting and scholarship organizations may exist or are accessible in it’s nature.
To apply, submit a photo, two letters of recommendations and an essay of no more than 500 words describing how your college education was interrupted or put on hold. Describe what your life’s goals and objectives are and how obtaining a college degree will further these goals and objectives. Explain what qualifies you for one of our scholarships including how you will use your “Blessons” in giving back to the community after completing your undergraduate college education
