Meet our Fall 2018 Library Artist in Residence, Alexa Rixon

Alexa Rixon is the Fall 2018 Artist in Residence at Columbia College Chicago Library.  She will share her experience as an interdisciplinary artist working in book, paper and print forms with image and text and how the residency benefitted her current exhibit at the C33 Gallery, “Expanding Creative Connection“.  Her exhibit runs from February 21 through March 6, 2019.

Working on her journalism degree at Columbia College Chicago with an arts in healthcare minor, Alexa is interested in the framing of narrative and how that affects the ways we understand and interact with our world. She is scheduled to have an artist book inserted in the spring edition of JAB (Journal of Artists’ Books).
