In honor of our Spring 2020 Book to Art Club selection, The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Library and The Aesthetics of Research are inviting submissions for an exhibit of Columbia community work re-imagining cover art for the novel. Photography, painting, collage, illustration, & more. Selected work will be exhibited in the Library during Manifest in May.
Columbia students, staff, faculty, and alumni are invited to submit their work to kbowen@colum.edu before April 15th.
You can also join us on April 15th, 7pm, for our Book to Art Club meeting, where we will be creating work in various paper mediums inspired by the book and discussing the work and its adaptations for film and television, as well as it’s broader cultural influence throughout art and society.
The exhibit is part of our Spring 2020 focus, FUTURE TENSE: IMAGINED WORLDS FROM THE MARGINS.
