Jenny Boully is the author of The Body, The Book of Beginnings and Endings, not merely because of the unknown that was stalking toward them, and other books. Born in Thailand, she grew up in Texas and holds a PhD in English from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She teaches creative writing and literature at Columbia College Chicago.
Tony Trigilio’s recent books are White Noise (Apostrophe Books) and Historic Diary (BlazeVOX [books]). He is editor of Elise Cowen: Poems and Fragments, forthcoming in 2014 from Ahsahta Press. He directs the program in Creative Writing/Poetry at Columbia College Chicago and is a co-founder and co-editor of Court Green.
David Trinidad is known for the masterful use of popular culture in his poems. His work is also associated with the innovative formalism of the New York School. Originally from Los Angeles, Trinidad lives in Chicago, where he is a professor and Director of Graduate Programs in the Creative Writing Department at Columbia College. Swinging on a Star is his fifth poetry collection with Turtle Point Press. He has also published two collaborative works with the press.
Antonia Palacios (1904-2001) was one of the most important Venezuelan writers of the 20th century. A poet, novelist, essayist and short-story writer, she was also a prominent feminist and civil rights activist. “Without patronizing or writing a manifesto, Antonia Palacios acknowledges the complexities, evokes the atmosphere and exposes the contradictions of a bygone era in Caracas.” (Maria Gracia Pardo, University of Miami) RoseAnna Mueller, Professor Emerita at Columbia College Chicago, teaches Latin American Literature and Art. She is the author of Teresa de la Parra: A Literary Life (2012).
Shawn Shiflett is an associate professor of creative writing at Columbia College Chicago. He is the author of Hidden Place, which was included in Library Journal’s 2004 “Summer Highs, Fall Firsts” list of “most successful debuts.”
