Your campus card is your library card!

Use your Columbia ID to enter the library, check out booksmoviesscores, and CDs, and use online databasesebooks, films, and articles.

Did you know that the library has textbooks*?

It’s true! We have at least one copy of each textbook sold in the bookstore that costs more than $40. The book is always kept in the library at the circulation desk on the first floor. You can come in to use the book, take notes, make copies, or scan necessary pages anytime during library hours.

Looking for something we do not have?

One way is for you to request that the library buy a copy using our Suggest a Purchase form. The other way is to request the book from another library using I-Share or Interlibrary Loan.  You can use your Columbia ID in person to check out at a number of area institutions that are part of I-Share, or you can request the item be sent for pick-up in the Library.

Need a phone charger, cameras, or other equipment?

The Library has a great selection of equipment, including DLSR’s, Go-Pros, microphones, projectors, audio recorders, headphones, and more…

Did you know the library has study rooms?

The rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the library and are designed for use by small groups. All rooms are equipped with tables and chairs and several rooms have collaborative technology. The rooms are used on a first-come, first-serve basis or can be reserved in advance through the EMS, the college’s space reservation system.

The library also has additional rooms that can be used for meetings or study and can also be reserved in advance. Learn more about these rooms on our Library Spaces page.
