International Education Month

International Education Week 2016 was Nov. 14 – 18, but it’s not over! Columbia College Chicago is celebrating International Education Month, offering events that support the internationalization and exchange efforts of our campus throughout the month of November.

According to Gigi Posejpal, Director of International Student Affairs, International Education Week is “a joint initiative of the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Education [and] is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This initiative was created during President Clinton’s administration to ‘promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.’”

“The Office of International Student Affairs and the International Student Organization along with the generous support of partners throughout the campus have a myriad of diverse cultural events for you to expand your horizons!” Gigi said.

Some events coming up:

Christkinlmarket with ISO, Friday, December 2, 5:30pm

Nollywood Portraits: A Radical Beauty, on exhibit through December 23
