More and more negative emotions are starting to come up as we hit the one year mark of the pandemic. I keep thinking about what I did right before everything stopped. I don’t think I’ll ever forget those memories.
There’s certainly an excess of negative emotions when in a pandemic. Although sometimes when I have negative emotions, I want to immediately fix them. I want to find a quick resolution. I must remind myself that it’s okay to feel your emotions and sit in them. Not forever, of course, but don’t rush through feeling your emotions. I think we all could use this reminder from time to time. I get caught up with school and life, as we all do, and I sometimes forget this. Hang in there, everyone.
