I had my first in-person class this week

I had my first in-person class this week. It’s a hybrid class, so we only meet once a week (and only for an hour) and the other class day is asynchronous. It felt strange to get up and ready in the morning to go to a 9am class. It’s hard to believe the previous two years I was getting up and going to my morning classes because it felt so abnormal to finally do it again. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to be on campus, at least a little bit.

This was also my first dance class wearing a mask. Personally, I haven’t felt inspired to or safe enough to take a dance class during the pandemic yet. Wearing a mask for a dance class (this one’s tap) wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. The only less desirable part was not getting to drink water during class. After dancing in a mask, it’s even more of a slap in the face that people can’t wear a mask to go grocery shopping. Have a great third week of the semester and, as always, wear your mask!

Until next time,
