Meet Your 2018 Manifest Team

Meet Your 2018 Manifest Team

Although it’s only February, the student Manifest team is already hard at work. Chosen from a large pool of talented students, this accomplished group is ready to make sure that this year’s festival is the perfect end to another great year. Between now and the end of the semester they’ll be making the decisions that shape Manifest 2018, but for now, let’s take a moment to get to know the people that will make it all happen.

Angel Smith – Manifest Creative Director

Manifest, for me, has always been a time of celebration and reflection – the final “we did it” at the end of the school year. This transitional time either welcomes a summer break or the end of our time at Columbia, which is what makes Manifest so important. For seniors, like myself, Manifest is the final send off before graduation and the beginning of our careers as creatives – for that reason, it deserves to be a damn good one. Everyone should come and recognize their accomplishments, bond with their peers over shared success, and create a moment in time that anyone can look back on with pride and excitement. Treat Manifest as the most exciting pat on the back.

Zoey Danielson – Digital Media Assistant

Hey! I’m Zoey Danielson, I’m from Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. I’m a Film major and the Digital Media Assistant in the Student Activities office. This semester I will be focusing on creating the Manifest Showcase Series where I will film documentary style videos about seven outstanding graduating students. I transferred to Columbia, so I haven’t had the chance to experience Manifest yet. Aside from just simply attending Manifest, I am excited to see my office’s visions come to fruition. This Manifest is going to be a vibrant celebration of creativity and diversity and I am so excited for everyone to experience it.

Erini Nicolaidou – Programming Assistant

My name is Erini Nicolaidou and I am the Programming Assistant at Student Activities office. I am majoring in Music Instrumental Performance (BMUS), minoring in Live and Performing Event Management. Manifest is a celebration! It’s the day after a stressful semester, long nights and hard work. I look forward for Manifest 2018 because I was given the chance to be involved in the production and organization of the festival. Our production team this year promises a lot of student involvement and performance opportunities for everyone. The streets will be taken over by street performances of all kinds. It is “our school, our vision, our festival” and we will be there to celebrate and have a good time.

Robert Mediano – Marketing Assistant

Hey! I’m Robert Mediano, a Los Angeles native studying Music Business Management with a minor in Live and Performing Arts Management. This year, I’m the Marketing Assistant for the 2018 Manifest Urban Arts Festival. My responsibilities include creating a marketing plan for Manifest and working collaboratively with the Manifest Creative team to promote the work of students and departments across campus. Every year Manifest is filled with all kinds of different surprises and experiences. It’s a great place to learn about the other departments on campus that you normally wouldn’t work with and be able to see what our fellow classmates are creating. This is my last Manifest as a student, so I’m looking forward to creating memories with my classmates and celebrating my time here at Columbia!
