My name is Marshawn Young, and I am a senior here at Columbia College Chicago. I am from the south side of Chicago, and my major is graphic design. Being here at Columbia has taught me so much about my craft, and my hidden talents as an individual. As being a young black male from the South Side coming from an impoverished area, the odds are stacked against me in graduating from college. In fact, I am the only male in my family that has ever made it through high school, and yet alone made it to college. Thankfully I am on the right track because this is my last semester before graduating with my BFA in graphic design. What keeps me motivated and moving forward is my dreams to become great at what I do, and to keep exploring and learning. Here is only a snippet of my many talents.
