Sarah is a classically trained pastry chef now in her last semester at Columbia. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America she worked in the industry realizing her favorite aspect of baking was the design of plated desserts, cakes, and more. Thus began her journey to Chicago where she is studying graphic design, with a concentration in publication design. Now Sarah’s passions include branding strategy, logo design, typography, and strong layouts. Her time here has instilled in her a newfound appreciation for keyboard shortcuts, grid lines, and breaking design rules. In her limited free time Sarah runs her own blog, Desserts & Design Studios, where she gets to play around with baking, food styling, and photography. Her ultimate goal is to have a career which merges food and design either working in food packaging, as a food stylist, or with food publications.
