Full-time 9-month, non-tenure track position announced. The application review process will begin July 15, 2016 and continue until the position is filled.
-Required: Masters or Doctoral degree in music with an orchestra/conducting emphasis and successful K-12, collegiate, and/or professional orchestral conducting/teaching experience. Strength in musicology and string pedagogy is desirable.

Duties – Conduct and administer the University Orchestra. Coordinate the orchestra program. Actively recruit to the orchestra. Prepare orchestra concerts and facilitate other performance opportunities for the orchestra, including those on and off campus and at music conferences. Collaborate with other music faculty. Establish and maintain a respected and visible presence as a conductor at the local, state, and national level. Advise music majors. Teach in related areas subject to the candidate’s expertise and the needs of the Department of Music. Maintain an active service schedule.
Salary – Salary commensurate with rank and qualifications. Benefit package.
