On Friday, June 21st production wrapped on Spot Shot. Spot Shot is a competition and collaboration between marketing and film & video students. We asked students to submit their ideas for a 30 second commercial, and the Portfolio Center would foot the bill and have it produced!
Our winners were copywriting student Noel Escobar for a commercial spec for Swedish Fish, and our winning director was Mark Leja. They worked together to develop the creative and Mark hired an amazing production crew to roll out all the pre-production and production and post for this effort.
This spot, called “Follow Me” will be entered in competitions, each person on the crew will get a copy for their reel, and the Portfolio Center will use it on our website. The story was reminiscent of Hansel & Gretel, and has Gretchen chasing a trail of Swedish Fish through beautiful Jackson Park.
