Julynn Wilderson

Hi, I’m Julynn! I grew up in Denver, Colorado, but I moved to Western
Massachusetts to get a BA in Cross-Cultural Relations and Dance from
Bard College at Simon’s Rock. It was there that I started working
heavily with creative movement, performativity, democratic theory,
public space, and subversive art. Graduate school has been a great
place to continue exploring these academic and artistic inquiries, and
I’m excited to be entering my second semester in the MFA
Interdisciplinary Arts and Media program at Columbia College Chicago.
In addition to this blogging opportunity for CAA, Columbia has given
me the chance to work at the Writing Center in the Learning Studio,
which is a wonderful and humbling job.
I’m currently pursuing several movement collaborations ranging in
theme from chronic pain to the search for home in decaying landscapes
to disconnect in interpersonal relationships. If you want to know
more, please feel free to drop a line or visit me at
julynnwilderson.virb.com. Thanks and have a good day!
