2010 – good year for AA+A adjunct Nick Eipers and Chicago Sessions

Nick Eipers, AA+A adjunct faculty member and Chicago Sessions LTD president, received numerous accolades in 2010 for albums released by his record label, including recordings by Howard Levy , Paul Wertico’s Mid-East/Mid-West Alliance , and theMatt Nelson Trio.
Howard Levy’s “Tonight and Tomorrow” (produced by Howard Levy & Nick Eipers; recorded/mixed/mastered by Nick Eipers) and Paul Wertico’s Mid-East/Mid-West Alliance “Impressions of a City” (produced by Paul Wertico; recorded/mastered by Nick Eipers) were both included in Downbeat Magazine’s “Best CDs of 2010.”
Howard also shared the “Best Miscellaneous Instrument Performer” title with Bela Fleck and Toots Thielemans in the Jazz Times Magazine 2010 Readers Poll.
Matt Nelson Trio’s “Nostalgiamaniac” (produced by Nick Eipers & Matt Nelson; recorded/mixed/mastered by Nick Eipers) was hailed as “…the best piano-trio album to come out of Chicago in 2010” by Jazz critic Neil Tesser (e.g. “Playboy Guide to Jazz”) and was sixth in his “Top 10 Chicago Jazz Discs of 2010.”
