Hybrid Forms & Interdisciplinary Practices presents the artwork of twelve recent graduates of BA and BFA programs from across the country. The artwork reveals cross-disciplinary experimentation and risk-taking, creating a dialog among the fine, performing, and media arts. The featured artists incorporate emerging technologies with traditional materials and techniques, displaying a diverse array of creative outcomes.

Buzz Spector, juror of the exhibition, is an internationally recognized artist and critical writer. He works in a wide range of mediums including sculpture, photography, printmaking, book arts, and installation. Spector’s work has been shown in numerous museums and galleries including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Art Institute of Chicago, and Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art in Prato, Italy. He is currently Professor of Art at Washington University in St. Louis.

Hybrid Forms is a collaboration of the Columbia College Chicago Art & Art History Department; the Hokin Project, an arts management practicum of the Business & Entrepreneurship Department; and the Department of Exhibitions, Performance and Student Spaces (DEPS).
