Comfort Station is now accepting proposals for 1-2 artist exhibitions and “takeover” installations!
- Open to Chicago based artists
- Accepting proposals for 1 to 2 artist exhibitions AND “takeover” installations during our ‘hibernation’ from regular programming. The “takeover” installations will be installations that are viewable only from the outside during the month’s of January and February. Here’s this year’s piece by Kate McQuillen for example!
- If you are submitting an idea for the Jan/Feb “takeover” installation, please mark the box indicating so on the form.
- If you are submitting for both a regular season show AND a “takeover” show please submit two separate proposals and mark the appropriate boxes.
- Please submit 5-20 images in a zip file of your current work/ or mock-ups of your proposal
- Deadline: Sept 18th 2015
IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER:
Please be aware that all exhibitions [with the exclusion of the the Jan/Feb “takeover” installations] will be up during our active season. Which means that the work installed must be conscience of our extensive monthly film/music/community programming. Exhibitions blocking the performance/seating spaces or are particularly fragile, might not be the best fit for our space. That said, we encourage you to throw us your biggest ideas!
