Seeds are life and have been sacred in most cultures since we became an agricultural species. The modern world and lack of farmers in the US has caused us to become distant with seeds and our food. Join us to reconnect with life – a seed exchange event to share knowledge, strategies and best practices, as well as trade seeds with others. Several local community and university groups will join us to share their seed library goals and processes including Columbia College’s ‘Seeds in Service’ and the UIC Heritage Garden.

A+D Gallery’s 5th Annual Summer Residency, Live Station Project is an ongoing endeavor by the Unit 2 Collective to engage people around issues and challenges within modern life, and share strategies and methods for improvement of our world. Shifting Ecologies, Lost & Found is about the changing relationship we have with nature, our source of sustenance and regeneration, as well as the solutions and systems people have developed to adapt and flourish over time, many of which are lost to us today and need to be found again.
