“Overheard” by Jenna Rodriguez

Jenna Rodriguez (MFA Interdisciplinary Book & Paper, 2013), currently the Victor Hammer Fellow and adjunct faculty in Book Arts at Wells College in Aurora, NY, was awarded the Windgate Scholarship at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina to study watermarks this summer.

Rodriguez teaches bookbinding, printing, and papermaking. Her work explores the public and private experience of social engagement, and focuses on generating text through public research and investigating time-based private performances. This includes many elements and media that explore the materiality of language: sound, new media, typography, handmade books, and printmaking.
