2014 alumna Megan Pitcher and her collaborators have been very busy with their company MegLouise. Pitcher says they “have been in the studio expanding our understanding of responsivity through conversations, workshops, new performance events, and life practice. Our works invite growth, change, and disruption through digital interference, audience embodiment, and performer instigation.” Learn more about individual projects below.

Cleveland Public Theatre : DanceWorks

Soloist Trina Hines will be performing a work by Pitcher in the Top Ten show produced by Cleveland Dance Exchange this weekend. Enjoy a video teaser. The piece is their response to the Multiple Bodies Project and theme of Tomorrow. How are we forming and re-forming identity over time and even through imagined space?

MegLouise would like to thank everyone who donated toward their Indiegogo campaign, which has raised almost $900 toward development. The company  was also awarded an In The Works Residency by Chicago Cultural Center/DCASE. Come see the work-in-progress showing. An excerpt of the work will be included in the Chicago Home Theater Festival and other shared programs, as well. Save the dates below.

MegLouise also presented several workshops as part of our residency at the Chicago Cultural Center, including: Gaga with Anna Long, ASCAB Capoeira taught by Megan Pitcher, and Adaptive/Responsive with MegLouise collaborators.
