CALL FOR WORKS: Sound-Art Miniatures Related to Climate Change

The Electronic Arts Experimentation and Research Centre (CEIArtE) of the National University of Tres de Febrero – Argentina, the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN)with support of the Balance-Unbalance international project, the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and Concordia University – Canada, calls for participation in the 2nd international competition “art! ⋈ climate” for the creation of sound-art miniatures related to climate change consequences and the global environmental crisis.

Categories (A) “Sea Level Rise”; (B) “Zero poverty. Zero emissions. Within a generation”.

Even if the final deadline to submit a sound-art miniature for this contest is February 1st of 2015, among the submissions received by midnight November 16th of 2014 – Buenos Aires time, two pieces (one from each category) will be selected and then announced and shared on December 7, in the context of the upcoming UN Climate Conference (UNFCCC COP, Lima, Peru), during the Development and Climate Days event.
