Last Friday after their class presentations, 3D Printing students brought in their projects resulting from a one month workshop taught by artist Sophie Kahn. Students developed prototypes to use not only as finished artworks, but also as tools in artmaking. Students were introduced to the rapidly changing field of 3D software, 3D Printing machines, and outside  printing services.

After the critique, Kahn introduced Tom Burtonwood, another reknowned artist and colleague who currently uses 3D printing in his current practice. Burtonwood gave a presentation on the trajectory and vast body of his work generated just in the past two years, and the took questions and asked to see the work students had created for the workshop.
